ASUS has released the latest Dual series RTX2080 O8G graphics card. Featuring the latest Ray Tracing technology and more powerful Tensor core performance than the previous generation cards, we are expecting a lot of performance improvements. This review will cover the unboxing of the RTX 2080, as well as some benchmarks.

According to ASUS official website, this card contains the Max-Contact technology and uses 2.7 PCI-E slot width, 8GB 256bit GDDR6 with 2944 Cuda core and the 2 x patented Wing-blade fan with the Vapor-Chamber heatsink. It’s clear that ASUS has opted to put a lot of focus on keeping the GPU cool and under control.

Gaming performance: Putting this card on another gaming bench we tested the performance in GTA V and Shadow of the Tomb Raider

Overall
After the test, the overall performance of this Asus RTX 2080 Dual O8G the verdict is simple: a little bit better than the GTX 1080 Ti with Ray Tracing and DLSS. As the price in Australia is around $1479, the CP value may not be good enough to encourage true gamers to dig into their wallet, we expect a lot of people to wait for the Asus Strix series gaming cards.

Overall, Ray Tracing has become the future of PC games, the lastest 3A games will implement this technology as a standard function. RTX series card will help us to enable the realistic world of new games and VR/AR experiences. With GDDR6, Tensor core and DLSS technology, we will actually feel the light and shadow. Plus, Nvidia will brings their NVLINK, AI package and Boost v4 later to enhance the new graphics card, not only the 2080 or 2080Ti but also the latest Titan.
